calling. Niamh, often shortened to "Nia" (nee-ahv, nee-ah) - which is Irish for "bright".
age. Niamh has walked the land for four years.
lineage. Niamh's lineage has been mixed throughout her history, though it can be closely narrowed down to the American Quarter Horse - with an appearance most resembling that of a Palomino equine.
sex. Mare.
region. Niamh was originally in another herd, until she stumbled upon this foreign land - where she quickly adapted to the region they call Amun.
ability. Niamh is a "seer", which means she has the supernatural insight to see visions of future events. However, these visions happen at random, and what she sees is often cloudy, meaning she can't quite fit the pieces together.
mirage. Niamh has the standard appearance of a typical Palomino equine, though she is not "pure". Her eyes are a deep chocolate shade, and her eyelashes long and blonde. She has a golden coat, while her mane and tail bear the same blonde tint as her eyelashes. She has a single white stripe leading from her forehead to the very tip of her muzzle. She has one single white stocking on her left back leg. Her hooves bear a tan tint.
persona. Niamh behaves in a way which others would find difficult to foresee. Her actions are typically the opposite of what others would find uncertain to occur at any moment. She is the ideal portrayal of a friendly, good-natured equine. She is easy and pleasant to have a conversation with, and speaks with a gentle tone. To top it all off, she is kind and gracious, with little to no negativity coursing through her mind. Niamh has a humorous and playful air about her. When approaching a negative situation, Niamh often uses a joking manner. In this, Niamh also portrays the qualities of a young foal or filly. Although, if given the proper circumstances, Niamh can have quite the violent nature, though this side of her is difficult to unveil. The only spark which will ignite the fire is the merciless murder or torture of innocents.
past. Niamh's life has been extremely uneventful since she found herself in this foreign land. She found herself to be most compatible with the equines of the Amun region, thus her decision to remain with them.
Before this moment in time, however, Niamh lived an exceptionally average life in a land far away from where she resides today. The herd was just as average. The only peculiar thing about them was their leader. His name Niamh can't quite recall, though his personality was something to remember for a lifetime. He was the gentlest of souls, and put the safety and well-being of his herd before anything else.
She could recall the first time she joined the herd. Niamh was what most would consider a runt. Her parents felt as though she wouldn't survive, and abandoned her in the cold of the winter. It was only a few short days later that the herd has passed through, and that's when he saw her - cold and alone. Being the kind, gentle soul he was, he took her in. He had no fillies or foals himself, so he treated her as though she were his own. It seemed as though it was almost too good to be true.
And maybe it was...
Niamh was a fully grown mare now. She was beautiful, and gained a few pounds. The leader was proud to call her his daughter, though they weren't related through blood. She grew close to both he, and the others in the herd. What happened next would deeply scar her forever. Fire had struck the land in which they lived. Niamh was the only survivor, and she owed it all to the stallion she called father. She knew he could've saved any of the others in the herd, but it seemed he cherished her life above all the others - which she found almost sickening. It was enough to cause her to blame herself for the fall of the herd.
That's all in the past, now. As hard as it was for her to move on, she knew she couldn't cling to the past forever. It was time to put it behind her, and focus on the present, and the future.
