From the mountain top He looks upon the crowds Mindful among the mindless Unbound
I. Thick grey clouds rolled in the distance, while thunder loomed above and lightening clashed in the depths. Achilles flew silently over the earth, its blotches of forests and valleys seemed to be like the odd patterns of a painted horse. Pulling his wings closer to his body Achilles decended towards the upper mountain side, its wooded peak would make an excellent escape from company. A rugged grunt left him as he neared the ever stretching peaks of the evergreens. Stretching his wings up and above his body he decended quickly between the trees and landed with a heavy thud. Snorting the stallion closed his wings and gave a shake to his body causing his long and rather thick mane to scatter in odd and end places. Giving him a displaced look. Although when one would catch a glimpse of him all they would see was nothing but a smokey mass. A creature so thick they would almost quiver before hearing such deep tones. Covered in a sooty grullo coat with deep ebony points, he was handsome, not to mention his massive wings covered in an array of deep shades of grullo and black and his astounding créme colored horn that portuded from the only white mark on his body. Lifting his head he allowed his forelock to hang away from his smokey grey eyes and blew forth a smokey breath as he enhaled the thick mountain air as he let forth a threatening roar allowing smoke to billow out from his ever burning lungs. ooc: sorry its crap its been awhile. Achilles, a name known to Marrok and anyone within the herd, not just because he was as insane -- maybe more so -- but because Marrok trusted him. If there ever was a soul on this earth that Marrok truly trusted, it was Achilles. Knowing full well that if Marrok needed something done the stallion had a way of making sure the task was complete. He cared for the male like he should have cared for his own brother, in stead Marrok hated his brother, hated everything his brother stood for and worse he hated the very fact that Marrok would never be anything like his brother. Maybe that did not matter, Marrok had land, he had females, he had a trusted friend, he had a herd, and his brother had nothing.
Seeing Achilles fly down in that lumbering yet graceful way that could only be linked to the large stallion had Marrok smiling and setting off in a fast clipped pace to meet him. Into that cleared the stallion of white emerged just as Achilles landed with a thud that not for the first time had Marrok thinking the very ground trembled under Achilles. Both Stallions had the advantage, flight was a wonderful think in theses mountains, they gave to many advantage points, so much access and sheltered the herd from all the others making them the most feared. He wanted to live by that name, wanted only the cruelest of horses to live in his lands, only the most insane. Foals will be brought up to be evil, any foal not as deadly as the horses would be killed. Oh yes, Marrok has killed many foals over the years and would do so again if it so pleased him.
“Achilles. See anything worth seeing up in the skys? I had to run a youngling off just this morning; foolish colt ran right off a small hill.” Not that the foal or yearling was dead just hurt, badly. Carefully and yet with more respect then Marrok would ever so anyone he walked to Achilles, stopped and dipped his head, a show of respect as well as friendship, mainly because Marrok would never bow to just anyone and he considered Achilles his equal in almost all things.
(ugh! I promise my next post will be better. I’m running on five hours of sleep.)

I. Quickly Achilles' thoughts of being alone was abruptly interupted by a humble friend, a vengeful light, one they could call a white devil, Marrok. A humble chuckle left the brute as he gave a slight nod in response to Marrok's gesture. "And here I thought I'd be alone, but alas you white devil never cease!" Achilles' voice was deep and gruff like that of an old man. Grunting the stallion took heed to Marrok's question and he took no haste in replying. "Not a damn thing in sight. Such things are such a bore. But glad to see something was taken care of." Achilles lowered his head as he stretched his right foreleg rubbing his bearded chin against his feathered fetlock. His thick ebony mane falling freely into his face and knotted around his créme horn as he raised his massive head to look at Marrok. His smokey eyes looked over his surrenderings always continuesly watching, taking in every small detail, etching it into his memory. Again silence engulfed him as he stood muscles poised and ready for flight. But in silence only the gears of the mind can be heard conjuring rapid thoughts of endless madness. You see silence had that affect on him, with a startled sigh smoke billowed out from his burning lungs. His hidden hatred seemed to twist the air around him causing the early winters air to whirl in a gentle gale. ooc: omg my muse like died eww it will get much better I promise.
