Small lightly feathered hooves moved through the dusty sand with ease. The heat of a desert sun failing to faze the tiny foal. Her winged partner in life flew low over her small body, keeping guard over her as she trudged forward. The fiery red brands on both of her shoulders flexed and moved with her young muscles covered by a thick layer of her soft fur like coat. The small black filly came to a halt in the sand fiery eyes turning up to her guardian as both the tribal type markings on her shoulders glowed brightly even with the sunlight. Back and forth the pair spoke in silence, glow changing from bright to dim. A giggle emitted from the small filly as she danced below the circling phoenix.
Giggling still the small black filly danced and reared up, tossing her head about as the flaming phoenix dove to the ground, opening its wings before hitting the sand and soaring past the foal. Fia bucked and kicked, running about while kicking up the dusty sand. The phoenix swooping around her, smoke following him as he moved flawlessly through the air. They played together for some time, swooping, kicking and running until the soft glow returned to the filly’s shoulders at the sight of something strange. Landing on a nearby rock and staring at the same thing that caught Fia’s attention. Large black birds flew in the distance, appearing to come closer. Curious as a young foal is her instincts told her they probably wouldn’t be the best of friends, but birds amused her very much so.
Trotting on towards the black birds the filly tossed her head about, rearing up and dancing around, almost like asking them to play with her. The Phoenix hopped along the ground behind her, keeping low and ready to do whatever he had to, if things went wrong of course. Perching himself on a rock he watched the filly dance around with the crows. It seemed they seemed to catch on quite quickly the small murder ducking and diving around the filly as she giggled and played about. Kicking, bucking and rearing the filly was full of life. The glow returning to her shoulders as she called the phoenix to play along. Though Aleks stayed still, keeping his watchful eye as the filly danced about, kicking sand up as the crows flew around her.
