The darkness leaving her black body unseen, until the moon hit, although her scarlet, red velvet, hair was visible greatly in the black landscape. The moon over head could turn blood red and still Coraline would creep on. Adding to her suspicion.
Who could not understand she was capable of betrayal when she stared you down like the merceless killer of sheep. She was no gentle lion she was a vicious cold blooded lion. The lion and the dead lamb.
Cray took to lead infront of the pack, his saliva dripping from his mouth hitting the sand sending steam to the air, the saliva was almost like acid but rather it was poisonis. It never failed to kill or make one extremely sick. It all depended on Coraline's mood. Tonight she was feeling extra demonish. The mare heightened her posture and continued to follow Cray.
Drexore stayed to the left side, and behind, the toxicated dog. While Fray on the other hand stayed right beside Coraline. Only to insure her safety. Each crimson eye that peered into the horizon seemed almost as if it burned everything in its path. Each one of them reminding themselves the devil was in their favor. Nothing tonight would stop them.
Not even a king.

The time was night. The harsher winds of winter were beginning to roll in across the dunes that surrounded Anubis’ segment of deserts known as the Ka’ar. Frigid gales swept mercilessly, picking up sand as they went, and created dust storms rather than snowstorms across his deserts, but the dun brujo paid no mind. No, these were the hours that his lanky, ebony limbs would set foot outside of his cave, the ring of the golden hoops that adorned them echoing against the walls and carried off by the winds. His eerie, golden occs adjusted to the darkness before him, their ever-observant gaze cast about his land. All was quiet, as it should be, but the monarch felt uneasy all the same. Something was not quite right.
Another wind crashed against his tall frame and sent a shiver up his spine. As if on queue, three black smudges in the midnight sky circled above him, their screeching barely audible against the weather, but he could hear their uneasy chatter well enough. The word dogs entered their frantic conversation more than once, and his golden-interior sonar flicked sideways in the direction they had come to catch any sounds. Hearing none, he stepped further away from his cavernous shelter and stood atop a large dune not far away, the silhouettes of giant cactus scattered about him. His yellow pools narrowed and pierced into the darkness in search of what was there.
Ah, and there it was, not long after. The very smell of them reached his dry nostrils before the sight did. From what he could tell, they belonged to no territory from these regions, so where had they come from? A few moments later, and he was able to make out the outline of the banshee in the middle. Scarlet tresses, midnight bodice. She, too, traveled the night rather than the day – that much was clear by the ease in which she traveled.
The warlock felt another shiver pass through his spine, but this was for a whole different reason. Even without nearing her, without speaking to her, he could feel something off about the quartet that approached him. A darkness that not many of Osiris could even duplicate. Anubis himself was a far cry from a tyrant, not one to rush into violence or any other sadistic mannerism for that matter, so he was all that much more sensitive to her potency. Yet still, he stood tall and confident, a spindly but authoritative image on these deserts that he called his own, and he called out to her in his dry, raspy tones, using the winds to guide them. “What brings you to my deserts?” He offered no introduction yet, nor welcomed her in. For now, his guard was up, while his raven companions circled overhead with their nervous chatter.

Deaf and quiet, Drexore, jumped. Smells, feelings, and vibrations were strong. Something was coming closer to them in the side and the dog let out a low growl before any of the others caught the hint of a being. Losing one sense made the others stronger. In lead Cray sharply stopped, the exact movement followed by the rest of the group including Coraline, the mare let out a low hiss from the tendrals of her long throat. The mare flicked her head around as everything went silent. Crows started to circle over her head and then a figure in the distance appeared. A light dun color that gleamed in the moon. Still.. If only it was red.
Fray turned around and snarled to the on coming horse. The other two went running towards the back of Coraline, where the being was coming from, and positioned themselves for an attack. Coraline herself turned around. Cray now standing right infront of her breast, long battered tail hung on the ground swatting at the inside of her forelegs, the other two to the side. Drexore, ears forward trying so hard to catch a sound, stood to her right; while Fray stood to her left.
The snarling, poisin dripping saliva dog, spoke up harshly "We wait for your command!" speaking loud purposely for the dumbass dun infront of them to hear. "That'll be unnecissary at the moment boys." the mare lowered her head and spoke to the ones who could hear, quietly, while she turned to nudge at Drexore and give him the okay to relax. The only beings she actually cared for on this damn planet relaxed and continued to stare the equine down. Crimson, pupilless, eyes practically drinking away the soul of the other.
As the stallion spoke his words were harsh. Coraline's entire, relaxed, body posture heightened to show dominance. No one would throw her to the bottom, not some worthless king, she was basically the devil's daughter and not even he could control her.
"I'm sure the same damn reasons that you brought yourself here." her tone all so calm and mechanic. Like a robot. It was smooth and dreamy but oh so creepy and spine chilling. Even the dogs cowwered to that tone of her voice. They knew the hatred that was spilling forth. They wouldn't step in her path till they needed to. Once again Cray and Fray snarled deeply. Adding to her hate while in return Drexore could see their snarls so he did the same. Waiting for them to stop. Each circling crow above that came low to the female would be eaten alive by her and the dogs.
Coraline smiled sharply, showing her pointed fangs, that glowed white (with a tint of pink from stained blood) in the moonlight. Who is Anubis to stop her. No one.

Three enormous dogs, obviously positioned to attack, faced the dun stallion, and his muscles rippled with tension under his dusty coat. Anubis was not an idiot; he knew that he was not prepared to take on three hounds and an intruder all at once – he did not have a band of warriors to protect his Deserts. The stag had to be tactful, if he was to ward this creature off properly. Her words came grating to his sonar, their golden inner disks swiveling to catch her voice amongst the winds. Her answer gave him no information. All it served to do was prove that she had no manners, and she had the dogs there with her to provide her the protection to continue in her immature standoff.
The monarch cocked his refined skull to the side, his occs narrowing. He wasn’t afraid, exactly. What was there to be afraid of? Death? Anubis had come to terms with dying long ago; the thought that her dogs could rip him apart didn’t phase him much. However, he wasn’t exactly hoping for that ending to this sudden meeting. Perhaps he would be able to figure her out, in some way. “I find that highly unlikely.” he answered back bluntly, the gales carrying his raspy voice. Overhead, the ravens continued their agitated squawking. “I’m here because these are my deserts. You are just a guest here.”
Though his ebony shaded limbs complained and his mind went frantic momentarily at the side of those predators, he took a bold step towards her, the jingling of the golden rings about his angles seemingly silent in the wind. “I will ask you again: What brings you here?” Anubis was intelligent. That much could not be denied. He was also bull-headed, though, and in the face of danger, he could not bring himself to act any differently. Should this gypsy happen upon his Deserts by accident or not, they were his dunes, and she would learn to respect them as his.

The fool was two steps from hell. Just mocking on at me. In a way I didn't care but in another way I would have considered it quite amusing to study his insides after my dogs finished him off. I lifted my head higher, arching that beautiful proportioned frame taller, "You talk large for a small king." I snorted.
Before me I watched as the fur on my dogs necks stand up. The poor creatures itching to kill just once. I could feel it in my bones. "NO!" I barked at them. The dogs began to snarl beyond my control. The small stallion stepped forth, crows circling above, as I felt Cray move towards the dun.

"Step down." my tones brutal and cruel as my eyes locked to the slobbering beast. He truly was not one to reckon with but he had to obey me. Deaf Drexore stood back to my side as Fray followed in sync. Sitting on their ass. I locked my attention back on the saliva spitting dog. I knew the attack was coming. I couldn't stop it. How joyful. I puffed up my chest and exhaled slightly. Talking over the snarling growls of the my protectful devil "I'd advise you to take a step the opposite way unless your wish is to be ripped apart." I wouldn't answer his question till he obeyed me! NOT DONE NOT DONE NOT DONE NOT DONE [/blockquote]
