Quinn was having a good day. She was high in the air, flapping her large wings without a care in the world. The wind whipped through her relatively short mane, her lion's tail twirling and swirling, the small banner waving like an airborne Jolly Roger. It started six inches from the end of her tail, the hair hanging from the underside and gradually getting longer. She snorted and tossed her head, going into a free fall. She opened her wings at the last minute, catching a thermal ad soaring up before she hit the ocean. She was a strange bird, this mare. She was a sooty buckskin with some dappling on her barrel and chest, with dark points and what looked like a dorsal stripe. She had bird catcher spots on her shoulders and barrel, some along her spine. She had large ram's horns, the ends pointing out, making her head a dangerous weapon in battle since she could use it as a wrecking ball with those horns. Her legs were covered in zebra stripes, or at least, very strong feral striping, making her look like a zebra hybrid. She had a snip on her muzzle that was slightly pink in coloration. Her blue eyes fell upon the ground below once again and vaguely wondered if she'd inadvertently crossed into a stallion's territory, but like a foal, she got easily distracted sometimes, and this was one of those times.
She saw a nice, cerulean patch of water that looked just the right temperature for a swim. Although she couldn't breathe underwater, that didn't mean she didn't love the fickle liquid. She slowed down and started to descend, gliding until her hooves touched the water, and then dropped into the warm, clear water, her kestrel colored wings laying atop the surface. She laughed and tossed her head, her forelock sticking to her forehead and dripping water down her face. She took a big breath and closed her eyes, sticking her head under water. She opened her eyes one eye at a time, revealing a colorful, if slightly blurry, world. She smiled as some colorful fish swam by before being gone in a flash, scared of the strange winged creature. She raised her head out of the water and shook it out, her mane clinging more firmly to her neck. She looked up and sighed in sighed in contentment. She looked to the left as a black blob came into her field of vision. She just thought it a large bird of prey, and went back to her swim. Everyone needed to act like a foal every now and then, otherwise one could get too serious and forget that life wasn't just about who had the biggest territory or army, who had the most mares or the most power.

The daylight was reassuring and the day seemed light and airy. It would be a nice day to meet Sakura again, the gentle stallion missed that beautiful lady, but he knew she was probably off adventuring around. If Emarde happened to stumble upon her he'd send Sanslay a mental image to know that she was okay. For now though he was alone.
But some crash of water, on this oddly calm day, captured his attention and the muscular frame swiveled around quickly and defensively. Only to relax when he saw the mare. An odd colored pegasus but no doubt beautiful in her own way. We all are thats what Sanslay believes. He gave out a low, but loud, nicker to get her attention before he completed turning around to a stop.
He kicked up his hooves and set straight towards her at a slow, bouncy, ungraceful trot. Now if he was ugly it'd all be a different story. Even at a state of such ungracefulness he was still handsome. Or to some he was. As he made it to the pool of water she was in he came to a slow, side stepped, stop. Giving her a grin with the flash of his white teeth. "Nice day for a swim wouldn't you agree." he said chuckling deeply.
Using his stallion charm he jumped in, hoping to splash her, shaking his head when the water droplets where gone. "Pardon me, I'm Sanslay, king of this harem here. You've come to the Horax Shores. Is there something in mind you have come here for? If not I'd gladly offer you a tour." he said turning to face her with a bright smile. Emarde still off doing his own little thing, reporting in with images of wild game off in Havoc's cliffs'.

At the sound of his voice, Quinn started, whipping her head to look at him. Instantly, her vision melded into a mixture of blues, greens, purples, reds and whites, her eyes going orange and pupiless, emitting a slight glow. She shook her head and blinked a few times, her vision going back to normal. It always happened when she was startled, and came in handy when she awoke with a wolf pack circling her, edging closer. She met him with a friendly smile. He was handsome enough, but it was the inside that mattered. On her travels, she had met some of the ugliest creatures, but they turned out to be sweethearts with hearts of gold, those were the friends she kept close. As for Sanslay, he seemed nice enough, but time would tell. "I would say so." She laughed when he jumped in himself, soaking her even more. She got a deadpan expression on her face for a few seconds and fixed him with a look that said 'I'll get you back for that'. But that expression quickly changed into shock when he said he was king of these lands. "I'm sorry for trespassing. I didn't know it was claimed." She honestly, but didn't bow or anything. She just dipped her head ever so slightly. In her mind, respect had to be earned, never mind that you were a king. "I'm Quinn by the way, and yes, I'd love a tour." Yes, she had an unusual name for a mare, but it suited her and she liked it. She got an idea to get him back and smiled secretly, thinking if it was going to get her kicked out, she may as well get kicked out with style.
She flapped her wings against the surface of the water, water spraying everywhere. She started moving towards shore, doing her best to kick up water however she could, including her tail, which had previously been underwater, slapping and whipping up the water. She finally made it up to the shore and proceeded to shake off excess water, lifting her wings and doing the same. She now had sand in her feathers, which wasn't really that bad, except for the fact that sand was really irritating sometimes. This was a time she loved the fact that her tail was prehensile. It was long enough so it could wrap it around her back fetlocks to wring the sand out before whipping back and forth to get the sand out of the tassel. "Ready?" She couldn't help but ask, almost giddy. She loved exploring, but usually it was just her, so she had to figure out which spots were dangerous and which weren't, which was a tricky little business usually.

The stallion just stared for a moment before her expression was shock. "You're not a tresspasser unless you come to my land more than once, the first time is always wandering, the second your here for something." he nodded. Before he could blink a large bird in the sky flickered into his sight. He ignored the site till flames rained from its mouth and the large stallion lifted his head to see Emarde showing off in the skies. The orange horns of the dragon gleaming in the sunlight as the black scales glittered endlessly. "Emarde!" the stallion greeted telepathically. 'What do we have here?' As the little serpent finally made it to the water the wolf size creature landed at the shore. Watching the two in the water with interest.
As the mare accepted his offer for a tour the stallion followed her out of the water. "Yep Quinn. Ready." he said sarcastically. Allowing the mood to lighten a bit. He smiled and Emarde crawled up to Quinn. Chirpping in a repeated pattern, almost like a beat with a second in between, without shutting up. "Hush Emarde, she's cool." the stallion said. Lowering his head to the dragon, careful to keep his horn away from Quins hocks, if the mare wanted to she'd have a straight shot at his face for a buck. But the dragon would burn her to a crisp.
"Lets be on our way." he said brightly to the mare, "we don't want to waste such a beautiful day. eh?" he said gently. Before he started to walk ahead of her and follow the shore line.

Yep, Quinn. Ready. She couldn't help but snort a little at his sarcasm. At least he had a good sense of humor. It was good to hear that he didn't mind wanderers. She'd been in this situation a few times before, flying inadvertently into a land. When you were in the air, you couldn't really tell if a land was claimed unless you saw a herd or something like that. Sometimes, the leaders had very different views on wanderers, views that forced her into the sky once more for an impromptu. It wasn't that she couldn't fight, it was just she didn't like tangling with leaders because they might tell their allies to not let her into their lands because she fought with them. That would be one of the worst things they could do, was to bar her from exploring other lands. It was one other great loves, adventuring. And not being able to do it was scary and saddening.
She caught the motion too, and before she knew it, there was a dragon creature coming towards her. She dropped her head to get a closer look, cocking her head slightly, a quirk from her foal years she'd never quite outgrew. In response to it's chirping, she snorted softly, not really knowing if the chirping was good or bad. She raised her head when Sanslay began speaking again. "Emarde, hm? He's kind of cute in a scaly sort of way." She laughed, trotting after him. Let's be on our way, we don't want to waste such a beautiful day, eh? She caught up with him and shook her head. "Not at all."
OOC: sorry its short :/ its been a long day haha

- I don't have time to reply, sorry about that, but if you would want this mare to have stayed here (as a resident) let me know and I'll add her to the list (if she isn't already there) Sanslay will be having a herd meeting soon. -
