Massive hooves trudged in the dirt slowly. Massive body with huge steps it seemed the dun stallion’s steps covered much ground easily. It didn’t seem to take long for the lonely stallion to exit his newly marked territory and wander into common grounds. The meadows were something the great young stallion knew well, having spent little time there before finding himself claiming the cliffs for his own. The sun shone down brightly in the light fury of the snow. With the glistening moisture melting to the touch of the ground golden hued eyes scanned the meadow’s lands. Grass was holding on to its last life before winter, flowers dying away from their once amazing blooming state. Winter brought on many things, but it seemed as the stallion’s steps moved into the meadow the grass seemed to brighten with life as his hooves passed over.
For when the stallion wished the grass would grow, for with a kiss of his wishes the flowers may bloom again, though these wonderful things only happened what Havoc was in a good mood. When the stallion angered the soil trembled beneath his feet, with even possibilities of splitting the ground beneath a hoof. Though those were times rarely seen, it was always a possibility. Today it was clear Havoc was in a good mood like normal, and as his steps furthered into the meadow, black feathered dinner plate sized hooves stopped when the equine neared the middle of the meadow. Tossing his black tail around his black body Havoc’s head shook letting his mane fall back on his right side of his thick neck, forelock pulled away from over his golden brown eyes.
Letting out an easy welcoming whinny the stallion told the meadow of his presence, welcoming any to join him in the meadows. Lowering his large head lips moved over a few blades of lush green grass, teeth cutting them and plucking them from the earth. Lifting his head slowly, golden black tipped ears flickering from inside their protection of two massive curled horns. Horns like a big horn ram, the massive oversized horse was swift and agile even with his huge hooves and well-muscled stocky body. Havoc was one of a kind, a gentle giant. His kind heart came over his massive size in many ways, it seemed most of the time Havoc forgot about his massive size. Though it came to much reality when he had to look down upon most other equines.
Golden eyes glanced around the meadow a few times, seemingly in wait, hoping for some equine company. Massive weight shifted from side to side as he rested. In wait the stallion stood, lowering his lips to graze once again. Even in the chilling weather there was no short of grass around him. For where he plucked the green grass blade from blade, the grass grew again, green and lush, full of life even in the cooling climate.

[atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]The young mare tossed her flaxen mane, snorting as she dug her hooves deep into the ground, leaving behind the deep impression of her hooves on the soft earth. Her flawless, unmarked pelt shone with a deep, radiant hue, as she galloped across the lush grass, tossing her head merrily into the air. Powerful hindquarters pushed the slight mare off the ground as she leaped up into the air, hovering there for a brief instant before landing on the ground once more with a soft, muted thud.
Finally, the palomino mare paused, ears pricked, flanks heaving after her short run. Her orbs still sparkled with the adrenaline rush she had experienced, and the energy still flowing, thick and strong, through her veins. She danced about nimbly on the spot, itching for another run, before calming herself down. Keen, sharply intelligent eyes gazed thoughtfully around the lush land, as she started moving again, albeit at a slow, walking pace this time. Her gleaming flanks paused in their hurried movements for a second, before continuing in their smooth, never ending rhythm.
Her heart had once been open, freely trusting and willing to help a horse in need, no matter the cost. She had once been a young, innocent foal, wandering about with bright, curious eyes. That, too, had been stripped away from her early at birth. Why, one might ask. What she would tell you, had you asked her, and was a single word which would sum up all her experiences: Life.
Life had a way of breaking you in ways that no other equine could do. Too confident, and Life would deal you a humbling blow, bringing you to your knees. Too quick to act, and Life would show you the consequences of her actions. Too disobedient, curious… And Life would deal you a blow that it had dealt this young mare.
The once open mare had become closed and reserved. Her temper flaring at the slightest insult, she was a regular little spitfire. Sakura was her name, apt, yet not.
Sakura paused at the edge of a stream, lowering her sweaty neck to sip at the cool liquid. Harks were consistently in motion, searching for danger. She was a nomad, experience teaching her to be wary. A slight snapping of twigs caused her to swing round in alarm, as she pinned back her ears in warning, tensing as a shape stepped out to meet her.
“Lost, little girl?” A cool, mockingly amused voice reached her ears, and Sakura spun around, teeth bared defensively, ears pinned to her head.
“What do you think?,” she spat, rolling her eyes exaggeratedly, even as her muscles tensed for battle. “Even if I was, I’d not ask for directions from someone like… you,” she finished, eying the stallion up and down disgustedly, tossing her head in feigned disdain. “Why don’t you trot along now? Go and harass somebody your own size.”
Ah, yes. One of her greatest flaws. She never could keep her mouth shut at the appropriate time. She snapped back into focus, an enraged battle cry emerging from her maw as the stallion leaped towards her, eyes blazing. Rearing and pirouetting, Sakura lashed out at the stallion, unwilling to back down from the fight.
Did that stallion think she could not defend herself? How dare he attack her? Slipping under his defences, Sakura sank her sharp teeth into flesh, even as a burning pain trailed down her foreleg. Giving an anguished cry, she lost her grip stumbling backwards in shock, as blood flowed down her golden pelt. Breathing heavily, she lifted that leg up, careful not to let it touch the ground, as she bared her teeth in defiance against the stallion who was advancing on her with triumph in his eyes.
Her frame quivered with tiredness, as blood streamed out of the gaping wound in her foreleg. Her breathing was harsh and heavy in her ears, as Sakura snarled furiously at her attacker.
Was it to end this way?

Everything seemed quite quiet in the meadows, The massive stallion standing quietly grazing with little issue with the world. The voices in the distance seemed like nothing but whispers, something the dun stallion’s ears could not quite decipher, Havoc wasn’t much one for interrupting in other’s conversations. All seemed quite well until a loud shrill cry was heard from the distance; it seemed from the same direction the whispers he had once ignored. Large dish shaped hooves moved quickly towards the cry of a mare, the earth quietly rumbling beneath his galloping steps as he approached the stream near where the cry came. It wasn’t long and the draft stallion came upon such a sight. A golden mare having clear issues with a stallion that appeared to him just didn’t belong here. With a stomp of a massive hoof the earth shuttered around the trio.
”Enough!” Bellowing vocals spoke sternly as the earth shook around him, a small crack forming in the soil at his massive hooves. Lowering his head slightly the brute of his face and thick heavy round ram horns directed themselves to the other stud. ”Go, Now!” The draft stud pounded the earth again with his hoof, the small crack in the soil growing towards the other male in a thin cracking line. Large head tossed as Havoc’s ears laid against the large horns. Golden hued eyes stared the other stallion down in a quite dominate state, it was clear that Havoc towered over most in the land, though he was a gentle giant he could be stern. Most he knew were careful not to anger him, as it seemed when Havoc angered, havoc let loose.
It was in hope that Havoc would not have to actually harm the other horse. Havoc had no real wish to harm anyone, for he was a kind soul. There was no need for any type of violence in the meadows, it would be better for all the violent stallion leave, though it seemed he may not know anything about Havoc’s hidden temper, however maybe the sheer size and the trembling of the ground might be enough to scare him off. It seemed the brute took the hint and chose to flee from the situation he had made. With a snort Havoc’s golden eyes turned to the palomino mare. His demeanor changed to calm as the ground repaired itself from below his massive hooves.
A sigh emitted from the stallion as his hooves shifted slightly. ”Can you put weight on that miss?” His golden brown eyes stared at her leg for a moment. Ears flickered around once, making sure that the other male truly was gone. It wasn’t surprising that Havoc scared him off. For the stallion was oversized and shook the earth easily, for some it was quite intimidating. Havoc never thought of himself as the intimidating evil doing type, though it seemed his size came in handy every now and then. ”Do you need help?” Havoc was quite unsure of what to do at this point, it wasn’t like he had ever saved someone before.

[atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]She tossed her head angrily, sending her cream-coloured mane flying. Sakura's brown eyes sparked furiously, as she glared daggers at the grinning stallion in front of her, certain about his victory. She had tensed her muscles, preparing to give it one last shot, when a bellowing voice roared around them. Shocked, Sakura stepped backward, nickering with surprise as the ground beneath her hooves rumbled and cracked open. She watched, wide-eyed and amazed, as the small crack grew steadily bigger.
Was this his power, then? Envy blossomed in her chest, before she had the presence of mind to push it away. Everyone had effective and useful powers - powers that could keep them safe, or run away danger. And what did she have? Levitation.
Sighing angrily at herself, Sakura shook off those depressing thoughts, and focused on the one-sided conversation going on in front of her. She flicked her tail with irritation, watching with cold eyes as her attacker skedaddled away, leaving her and the large, unknown stallion alone. She was still panting slightly from the fight, and the young mare fought to keep herself upright. She gritted her teeth, lowering her head and nuzzling the wound, sinking exhaustedly down to the ground.
Well, crap. What was she going to do with this now? She shouldn't have been so careless - she knew better to goad her attacker. Unfortunately, it seemed as though her brain and mouth were not always connected. Sakura gave herself a rueful chuckle, moaning softly as she moved the leg. It hurt like crazy. She'd seriously have to figure out where she could stay without being found until her leg healed.
Another rumble, and the golden mare jumped with shock as she watched the ground seal close. Ears pricking forward with interest, she leaned forward, her wide eyes surveying the flawless ground, before her gaze travelled up to her forgotten saviour. So, he was still there? Embarrassment flooded over her, along with her stinging pride that he had to rescue her from the unknown stallion. She didn't need anybody's help. Not now, not ever. And especially not some meddling horse's.
"What do you think?" she snapped in response, the sharp tone involuntary, as she inwardly flinched at her inhospitable tone. After all, this stallion had just saved her from - no, she wouldn't even think about it. Sakura looked up, meeting his golden eyes, her own sparkling with an ill-begotten defiance and determination. "If I could, do you think I'd be lying down?"
Speaking of lying down... Sakura immediately narrowed her eyes, pushing herself to her hooves in one swift movement. Pain exploded behind her eyes, and her vision flashed red and gold. That hurt! She hissed curses under her breath, lifting her injured leg gently from the ground, leaving her other three legs to support her body weight, swaying gently.
The golden mare glared half-heartedly at the new stallion, the venom clear in her voice, riddled with embarrassment. "No," she all but shouted at the stallion. "I can take care of myself perfectly well. I was doing fine before you came along," she added, softer, but she was sure the stallion could still hear her. And of course, he could also hear the petulant tone in her voice too, couldn't he? She was going to run away and become a hermit for the rest of her life.
"Who are you anyway?" she asked, voice tight with pain, as she painstakingly hobbled towards the river, sinking down in its sparkling waters and watching the blood disappear into the currents.

Eyes blinked slowly as he turned to the female now lying on the ground. It seems to him he was too focused on her attacker to notice she was lying down. Her words snapped at him, though didn’t faze him at all. Ears flickering around making sure all was clear as her voice spoke in an ill tone once again. His golden brown eyes watched her as she stood, not putting any weight on her hurt leg. She swayed gently before her eyes met his gaze. Snorting softly at her tone the stallion shook his head. Raising his head slightly as she hobbled to the water, letting the river clean her wound.
”The name’s Havoc miss. I only wish to help you in a time of need.” With a nod of his head his golden brown eyes watched a bed of grass grew under the mare in the cool waters. Cushioning her in the water the stallion moved a bit closer. Golden brown eyes watched her in the water, shaking his head slightly at her embarrassment and rudeness. Part of him was going to speak about the battle she was in and how she was clearly on the losing side; however he humbled himself and his eyes turned to scan the area. Black mane fluttered in a breeze for a moment.
Havoc didn’t move from his post. His massive hooves standing in the green grass at his feet, even with the cool breeze of winter coming over the lands the grass around the stallion was green and full of life. Shifting his weight ever so slightly his gaze turned back to the golden mare before him. ”I’m taking it if you don’t want my help miss; I guess I could just leave you here?” His question was more than rhetorical. He wasn’t about to walk away but the palomino mare seemed to have just a bit too much pride. If in any other situation the large horse may have laughed, but his face stayed serious and calm. He figured she wouldn’t just let him leave her, but he didn’t really know. Golden brown eyes staring at her one moment more, taking a simple step closer his head lowered to her. ”Let me help you somewhere more comfortable perhaps?”
For now all he could do was stand and weight. He could easily carry her weight in some way, whether draping the mare over his body or another way he couldn’t think of. Havoc had never had to protect another from danger, nor did he know what to do when a protected was so rude and unthankful. Though still humble it didn’t seem to matter to him that this mare wasn’t the most cooperative of equines.

She blinked at his name, glancing up with chocolate brown eyes wide with surprise. She really shouldn’t judge… but this stallion seemed kind. Gentle, even, despite his intimidating size. He certainly didn’t look like the sort that would cause havoc. Turning her attention back to her bleeding leg, Sakura drank a sip of the cool water, groaning softly as she let her head fall to the ground tiredly.
Suddenly, a springing bed grew under her, and Sakura leapt up in shock, only to come crashing down into the water again. She groaned, shaking her creamy mane, hissing softly as she hastily dunked her leg back into the cool water. “Thanks,” she mumbled, glancing up at the larger stallion uncertainly, before her eyes darted downwards, clearly uncomfortable. Her ears flicked at his words, and her head shot up, sighing as her shoulders slumped.
“Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap. It was involuntary,” she muttered, raising her head and looking Havoc straight in the eye. “Thanks,” she muttered, truly embarrassed, and uncertain of how to react to his apparent kindness. There weren’t that many decent horses around anymore, and her track record with strangers hadn’t been so good. She wasn’t certain if the stallion would truly leave him her here, but why take the chance, right?
Tiredly thrusting herself up from the ground, she limped heavily over to Havoc’s taller body, neck hanging low, her eyes dulled with pain. “Anywhere safe around here?” she queried, glancing up at him, as she winced at the thought of the long road they might have to take.
“I can levitate objects – even you,” she muttered crossly, tossing her mane. “But unfortunately, I can’t levitate myself.” She snorted impatiently, trembling with the effort of standing, as she cast around for something to distract her from the pain.
“So, you can make things grow? Earth manipulation? That’s cool,” she said, honestly impressed, as she made an effort to curb her sharp tongue in front of the gentle giant.

Golden eyes caught the mare’s surprise when he introduced himself, though it didn’t faze him either way. He couldn’t help himself but chuckle when she jumped at the bed of grass below her. Ears flickering at her mumbling words he nodded his head. ”I’m sorry miss, I didn’t mean to startle you. I just hoped you could be a bit more comfortable.” He could clearly tell the mare was uncomfortable with his being, but he only wished to help. As she limped three legged towards him he offered her to lean her body over his neck. As it seemed his lowered neck was only part of his body low enough to hold any bit of her weight.
He let out a sigh hoping to she could let some of her weight off before questioning how he could possibly help her. ”If there were some pillows of grass could that help you? It would take some time, but I could maybe do some branches help take some weight off of that leg?” His golden eyes turned quietly as he questioned her, showing clear compassion in his eyes. It was true the stallion as compassionate, he only wished to be careful with her delicate frame. Ears flickered again as he listened to her speak about levitation, he thought a moment, thinking maybe that his own power was useless without his hooves solid on the ground. It seemed proper, hooves on the ground meant his connection with the earth was made and power could come between them.
Though he didn’t say anything about it or question his concern stayed on the golden mare. She questioned his ability and his earth manipulation. ”I believe that it is mainly the soil that holds my power. Plants grow at my will, and well, when I anger it seemed like the earth breaks beneath my feet. A blessing one day and a curse the next I presume.” His vocals spoke honestly and carefully. Not wishing to boast or complain about his spring gift, but plainly trying to be truthful.
He thought about her levitation for a moment. It seemed quite cool that she could sweep others right off their feet. The gentle giant himself thought a moment of the things she could possibly due, surely with a bit of concentration. He thought only to care for her, take her to a spot he believed to be safe at the side of the meadow where she could rest for at least a short period of time.
