Eli picked his way haphazardly through the rolling sand dunes of the shores, the breeze giving the air a slight nip and dancing with his long, red locks. It's much warmer here than most other places. Eli observed silently, his golden, pupil-less eyes rolling about in their sockets to take in the view of the land around them. A cheerful chirp could be heard from the little bird upon his withers. He couldn't really communicate with the small, winged creature, but they had taken a liking to one another.
His ears pricked when the sun's light glanced off a chunk of glass, laying up against a rock. He'd never seen anything like it! He pulled himself into a trot and bounced over to the shimmering piece of glass. Cheep - his bird friend - let out a displeased chirp and fluttered off of Elis shoulders. He hated riding that bouncy gait. Eli was amazed to see his reflection in it, much like water showed. His eyes wandered, kind of shamefully, over his tall, thin body. 6 year old Eli could have passed for a yearling if her wasn't so tall, he was scrawny enough. His brown coat with dark brown feral markings, and stockings that extended over his shoulder and hip.
"Wow, look at that, Cheep, it's so cool!" he said. He knew the little bird couldn't understand a single word he was saying, but he still liked to think he had someone to talk to. He was so entranced by the reflection of the glace, that the world around him began to fade away.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i42.tinypic.com/2378de.png,true] There was two of them as one. All combined together as one force. Bestfriends. Guardians. King and his helper. An annoying hum started to buzz from Emarde's chest and quickly Sanslay shut him off, "No...". It was like a mother getting onto a 2 year old. Not to harsh but just enough to get the dragons head to understand. As both walked on the sands a figure appeared quickly. Emarde's smaller pace was sped up to keep up with Sanslay's now trotting gait. The air bound dragon was in on mood to fly into the sky and watch from above so he stayed on the ground waiting for his signal. Although there was hilly dunes between the two and the on comer so Sanslay had to be careful when he went down the side of one and Eli went out of sight.
Not to long later the distance between them all was closed and Emarde spotted the bird that Eli called Cheep. His eyes watching the bird like a hungry cat. "No Emarde!" the only thing that kept the dragon from leaping forwards and burning the creature to a crisp chicken was the fact that Sanslay said no.
"Welcome to the Horax Shores. Can I help you with anything? I'm Sanslay the leader here." his tones were so mellow and calm, all held by a fine string. The string between Sanslay's good side and his bad. Don't forget now... Sanslay is that kind caring man with the deep devilish past that could be unleashed at any moment.
Emarde, meanwhile of the conversation shaping, noticed the crystal rock he'd made not to long ago. 'Thats MY rock!' the dragon said telepathically to his bonded. "Calm now, he's only looking!" the dragon wasn't open to sharing his precious crystal's with someone he didn't know or tresspassers. The dark body, with the orange markings, looked up to Eli. His orange eyes peering sharply at the skinny stallion. He made a deep growl in his chest and scurried over to the crystal. Hiding its beauty from Eli with his large bat wings. Emarde was about the size of a bob cat or a wolf and wasn't against sinking his fangs into someone to give them a warning. A small his was given from the dragon as a warning to backup and he waited for the skinny stallion to acknowledge it.
"Emarde!" the serpents acts were interupted by his friend he was now scolding him. The tones rough and harsh. "Enough." the second scold was more calm and kind but there was still authority in there. As the dun stallion inclined his head to stare down at the dragon. 'Excuse me for protecting my jewels!' Emarde snipped back and Sanslay.
"Excuse him." Sanslay said to Eli appologetically as he raised his head to greet the other stallion with a smile. Sharp horn pointed to the sky instead of the wanderer's face. To see yet another on his beach had Sanslay's heart beating fast. It was nice to see such a new kingdom booming so fast.
