alias. SHEA years. FOUR heritage. MUSTANG sex. MARE region. OSIRIS
facade. Mustang, mutt, mongrel any other words you can think of would fit perfectly right here. Shea is not pure bred, her bloodline is something to be over looked and her appearance, well let’s just say she truly is a hybrid in all definitions. There’s nothing special about her, her legs are too long, almost lanky even, her head is a combination of Morgan, Arabian, Quarter and a few others mixed together. While she would have been a very beautiful horse with her dark black hair, dark shadowed nose her coat on the other hand is dirty, not even a pale white but bluish, gray dirt that turn her body under the cover of nightfall into an array of shadows. Sadly she even lacks the black stockings so many horses have, maybe that would have made her look as exotic and beautiful as all the other females.
persona. Shea is a force to be reckoned with. She is a curious and energetic individual, always delving into new areas, but often quickly becoming bored and moving on, leaving unfinished projects in her wake. Adventurous, ambitious, impulsive, enthusiastic and full of piss and vinegar are just a few traits associated with her. Many of her friends and family would tell you she is rather forthcoming and direct in the way she handles her life. She does not generally have hidden agendas or ulterior motives but prefers to work for what she has and be damned if anyone steps in her way. Once she finds an area in which she is interested in for a long period, she will become quite accomplished… but her attention span normally does not last that long. She enjoys adventurous challenges and will never divert from the task except by her own impatience, which sadly surfaces when she’s not given quick enough results. However, on a good note she is full of wonder, energy and curious of everything new.
Because she had to struggle to fight for everything in life makes her fight even harder for something she believes in or wants. Often the personal restlessness and willful activity of Shea can be understood as a quest to fight the authority’s restrictions. She usually has to prove to everyone her worth before she can feel any support or respect. Her warrior nature often causes her to be very frank, direct and candid in her personal relationships. Emotionally she is much more concerned about others then herself, in fact she tends to wear her heart on her sleeve for the world to see. If she feels any sort of emotion be it aggressive, restless, argumentative, passion, pleased, anger or any number of emotions you will know it right then and there. Think of her like a mood ring, always changing colors with each mood and always visible.
While some might look at her and think flightily, too carefree and even a touch gullible she is in fact an intellectual with and objective rather than being emotional or pragmatic mind. She is the first to crusades for lost causes and she is normally the one to motivate others for that one last-ditch effort. She is quick in her choices but sometimes foolhardy and overly optimistic, lacking thoroughness and the ability to evaluate difficulties in the undertakings into which she often rush into impulsively. Once of her more endearing traits is that her creativity tends to be more original, innovative and groundbreaking. Her competitive nature gives her energy and an enormous will to succeed in her professional endeavors. No matter what financial hardships she endure, she remains dedicated in the ultimate quest to be the best at what she does.
ability. Shea has the ability to heal but this ability is flawed because she can only use her the energy her own body produces to heal. So if she uses too much energy while healing another she will pass out. Once she tried to heal a bear and nearly lost her own life in the process.
history. Their was no celebration the day Shea was born, in fact she was considered an inconvenience. Well, you see this is to be expect, most mothers love their foals even if just a little bit however, Shea’s mother never harbored any emotions toward her foal. Maybe their was something wrong with the mare’s genetic makeup or maybe she was just too young. Their was so many options, so many ideas as to why the mare treated her foal the way she did. No, do not go thinking the young mare beat, kicked or bite Shea because in truth the foals life was not all that bad, she still was fed and had the protection of her herd. What ever the reasoning her mother disliked Shea and that was that, the little foal never asked more then the mare was willing to give, never cared overly much about the why’s and how’s of her given situation, she just made the best of her lot in life.
One year to the day of, she’s birth her mother passed, no one cried, no one cared and life just went on as if nothing ever happened. The only respect Shea gave to her mother, the memories of their time together was a moment of her time as the pale; dirt gray filly stood over her mother’s carcass and waited five long deep exhales before turning and walking away. Little is know about that time other then the sudden illness that swept the herd just as starvation became the norm. The herd lost three foals before the illness attacked their stallion, crumbling all their defenses. Ultimately, the small band of females wandered, a few found stallions, others died but the rest split in search of their own path. Most of the pretty females were taken, the ones that did not look sick or ill suited for breeding.
After the death of her herd, things went from bad to worse and for the first time while wandering, she was attacked by a small hang of stallions, bachelors. They never managed to take her, she out ran then but in her flight Shea fell, landing hard on the ground and into a rather rough patch of dirt. The rocks cut into her flesh, marking her for all time and while the scars are small she thinks and feels they are much bigger. Shea has had a hard life but she has never lost that desire to always see things as half full. For just a little under a year now Shea has wandered, where her adventures take her she can not say but she will never give up on the hope something better is just waiting around the next turn.
